Conviction

Private Beta

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Conviction handles, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Last updated September 18, 2026

1. Scope and contact

This policy applies to the Conviction private beta. Conviction is the team responsible for the personal data described here. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@bento.fun.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: identifiers and profile information, such as name or email address, supplied through the service’s authentication provider. When Privy sign-in is enabled, Privy handles email verification, social sign-in, linked account identifiers, and session credentials. Linking another method lets you access the same Conviction account.
  • Game activity: drafts, entries, choices, balances, cards, rewards, receipts, and other actions associated with your account.
  • Wallet information: public wallet addresses and signature proofs you choose to provide. We do not need and will never ask for a seed phrase or private key.
  • Public market information: public blockchain transactions, trader addresses, holdings, and public profile or performance data used to operate the game.
  • Technical information: request, device, browser, diagnostic, security, and approximate network information such as IP address, where produced by our hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Communications: messages, attachments, and other information you send to support.

3. Where information comes from

We receive information directly from you, from the account provider used to sign you in, automatically through the service, from public blockchains and public trader sources, and from infrastructure or data providers that help operate Conviction.

4. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users; provide and preserve accounts and game state; verify wallet control; index public trading activity; calculate, reconcile, audit, and correct gameplay; secure and troubleshoot the service; prevent abuse; respond to support; improve the beta; communicate important changes; and comply with applicable law.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely as appropriate on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the beta, consent where we request it, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How information is shared

We may share information with vendors that provide hosting, authentication, databases, monitoring, analytics, RPC or blockchain access, and other infrastructure; with professional advisers; when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, rights, and the service; and in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the service. These recipients may process information in other countries.

We do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law.

6. Public blockchains

Wallet addresses and blockchain activity are public by design. Publishing or using a wallet address can allow others to connect activity across services, and blockchain records generally cannot be deleted or changed by Conviction. Avoid using a public address if you do not want it associated with your Conviction activity.

7. Cookies and local storage

Conviction and its providers may use cookies or similar storage needed for sign-in, session continuity, preferences, security, and core service operation. We do not currently use optional advertising cookies.

When optional usage sharing is available, the Usage privacy control lets you opt in to selected Kickstart usage events sent to PostHog with random identifiers. This uses a browser cookie lasting up to 30 days and a local preference. Signing in can connect your opted-in browser activity to a random account identifier. These events exclude names, emails, wallets, balances, lineup contents and page addresses; this feature does not record sessions. Turning sharing off stops future collection and, when signed in, disables sharing for your account. Deliveries already in flight or previously sent cannot be recalled by this choice. Contact us for data access or deletion requests.

8. Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including maintaining game and audit records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, securing the service, and meeting legal obligations. Retention varies by record. Some logs and backups may remain for a limited period after deletion, and public blockchain records remain outside our control.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to this private beta. No service or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur. Never send us passwords, seed phrases, private keys, or signing secrets.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal data, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. To make a request, email support@bento.fun. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law or a valid exception permits.

11. Age

Conviction is not intended for anyone under 18, or under the higher age of legal majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. International processing and changes

Conviction and its providers may process information in countries with different data-protection laws from yours. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards will be used. We may update this policy as the beta changes and will post the new version with a revised date.
